Our Summer Mission

The ultimate goal of our summer program is to provide the players within our program a great basketball experience at a low price. We strive to improve the fundamentals of each player in the program by working on footwork, ball handling, shooting, and overall defensive skill. These are essential components in becoming a better basketball player. When it comes to building a basketball player, there is NO more important time! We need our kids in the gym!

High School Session 1 (June 15 - June 26)

When: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (No Workouts on Wednesday)

Who: Grades 9-12

Each hour-long session is carefully planned to maximize the number of quality repetitions a player achieves. We want this to be an intense learning experience, increasing the work ethic, effort, confidence, and enjoyment of each camper. The coaching staff will work on team concepts on the offensive and defensive sides of the basketball as well. Our camp is a springboard for our upcoming high school basketball season.
NOTE: There will be more basketball offerings upcoming this summer. However, with the everchanging nature of the current situation, we will wait to release those opportunities until we learn more about potential phase changes within the state of Minnesota.

COVID-19 Protocol (Please Read Thoroughly)

ISD709 Facilities has adopted a plan from the following sources:

• MDH (Minnesota Department of Health); Guidance for Social Distancing in Youth and Student Programs; Update 5/13/2020.

• MDH; Guidance for Social Distancing in Youth Sports; Update 5/21/2020.

• NFHS (National Federation of High School Associations); Guidance for Opening Up High School Athletics and Activities; May 2020.

• ISD 709 Administration and Activities Department.
We will follow the following strategies to mitigate the risk of COVID-19:

Upon arrival, all staff and participants must pass daily screening (see below) conducted either outside the building or inside the corridor area. The screening process will include taking their temperature on site. Coaches/EBA Board members will keep an attendance log for all participants. Participants and coaches will adhere to the staff to participant ratio of 1:9 per full sized court. Each participant will be assigned a coach and a group to workout with. There will be no intermixing of groups. In general, 6 feet of separation is the distance that will be kept between people interacting within the session. Coaches will not incorporate drills that include body contact. All participants are to be picked-up and dropped-off outside of the building. No individuals other than the staff and participants are allowed into the building. Parents/Guardians may not enter district facilities. We encourage the use of personal water bottles, masks, and hand sanitizers.
Daily Screening for COVID-19 for participants:
